Square Nine Hotel Belgrade – from around 229 €
The middle property stands on Studentski trg in Stari grad, the old town.
It brings the same base package and adds two things: a tie to the Leaders Club and the express promise that no minimum stay is required.
It carries no hotel credit – the single point on which it falls behind the cheaper property.
Of seven accommodation types, four are suites: 55 m², the Deluxe Suite at 60 m², the Executive Suite at 80 m² and one at 95 m².
The St. Regis Belgrade – from around 318 €
The upper property stands on Nikolaja Kravcova in the Belgrade Waterfront quarter.
It is the only one of the three with the complete package: Marriott Bonvoy with regular points and status nights, a hotel credit of 100 USD, a welcome gift – the only one of the three – and likewise no minimum stay.
It is also by far the largest: 84 accommodation types, of which 27 are suites, including the Astor Suite. No square-metre figures are recorded for this property in our inventory – so we give the count but no floor areas.
What a night costs
Entry rates across our three properties stand at around 186 €, 229 € and 318 € per night, putting the median entry at about 229 €.
Only a factor of 1.7 separates cheapest from dearest – so the three sit close together on price, measured against what distinguishes them.
Count the credit in and the gaps shift noticeably: between the Saint Ten (186 €, 50 USD credit) and The St. Regis (318 €, 100 USD credit) less distance remains once the two amounts are netted off than the rates suggest – provided you spend the credit at the property.
The Square Nine in the middle carries no credit. On that reckoning it sits less favourably than its place in the price sequence implies – but it brings the programme tie the Saint Ten lacks.
