InterContinental LjubljanaWith every booking through suitespot you receive, at all four:Slovenia is a special case among our destinations: only one of the four properties belongs to a points programme at all.
Hotel Kendov Dvorec · Spodnja IdrijaThat is the InterContinental Ljubljana (from around 209 €, IHG One Rewards). And it does not stop at the programme – four independent characteristics point at the same address:Personal luxury travel adviceOur travel advisors personally accompany your booking – 365 days a year, from the first offer to late check-out. Reach the suitespot VIP service via email or WhatsApp.Phone: +49 30 81452346 · hotel@suitespot.comIt is the only property with a hotel credit, the only one with complimentary internet as a recorded benefit, the only one where points are credited – and the only one where any suites are recorded as such. All three suites in the country sit there.
The other three properties are something else, and that is not a shortcoming but the actual choice: the Otočec Castle Hotel (from around 383 €) as a castle hotel, the Hotel Kendov Dvorec (from around 160 €) as a manor house and the Vander Urbani Resort Ljubljana (from around 115 €) as a boutique property in the capital.
In practice: if you want to earn points or take a credit with you, Slovenia offers exactly one address. If you do not need that, the rest of the country opens up – and that is where the most expensive property sits.
suitespot rates are full direct rates: the benefits come on top of the regular rate.
Two sit in Ljubljana, two in the countryside. We name them individually, because with four properties each one counts.
The most expensive property in the country, a castle hotel in Otočec. It carries no points programme and no hotel credit; breakfast for two and an upgrade are included.
Vander Urbani Resort LjubljanaFor room sizes we hold 18 to 75 m².
Slovenia's only chain property and therefore the only address with IHG One Rewards, a hotel credit, points crediting and complimentary internet. It lists 21 room categories – more than the other three combined – and with 39 to 155 m² also the widest range.
A manor house in Spodnja Idrija, with no programme and no credit. It is the only property for which we can make a reliable zero statement: all four room categories are expressly typed as rooms, not one is left open – so in our data there really is no suite there. Sizes: 24 to 48 m².
The lowest entry in the country, a boutique property in the capital, with no programme. Sizes: 18 to 38 m².
Entry rates run from around 115 € at the Vander Urbani Resort Ljubljana to around 383 € at the Otočec Castle Hotel. The middle of the field sits at around 185 €, and a factor of 3.3 separates the two ends.
Otočec Castle HotelThe order is what stands out: the most expensive and the cheapest property both carry no points programme. The single chain property sits between them at around 209 €.
We hold an entry rate for all four properties – not a given with us.
Only one property belongs to a points programme: the InterContinental Ljubljana at IHG One Rewards. This page's programme table therefore has exactly one row.
The same property is also the only one with a hotel credit – none is recorded at the other three.
What does apply everywhere: breakfast for two and a room upgrade are recorded at all four properties. A welcome gift comes with three of the four.
And what does not apply everywhere, we say as well: a late check-out is recorded at only two of the four – the InterContinental Ljubljana and the Vander Urbani Resort Ljubljana, that is, both properties in Ljubljana. At the Otočec Castle Hotel and the Hotel Kendov Dvorec it is not recorded.
Complimentary internet is likewise recorded only at the InterContinental Ljubljana. That does not mean the others have none – it simply is not in our data there, so we do not claim it.
Slovenia has no special conditions at all: not one of the four properties carries a deviating conditions text, so every benefit applies in its standard form.
Our room data holds 36 categories for Slovenia, of which three are expressly recorded as suites and 14 as rooms – 19 are not typed at all.Personal luxury travel adviceOur travel advisors personally accompany your booking – 365 days a year, from the first offer to late check-out. Reach the suitespot VIP service via email or WhatsApp.Phone: +49 30 81452346 · hotel@suitespot.comAll three suites sit at the InterContinental Ljubljana (three of 21 categories). At the other three properties not a single category is recorded as a suite – but for two very different reasons, and we separate them.
At the Hotel Kendov Dvorec it is a genuine statement: all four categories are expressly typed as rooms, none left open. There really is no suite there in our data.
At the Otočec Castle Hotel it is a data gap: all five categories are untyped. For that property we therefore claim neither one nor the other.
On room sizes all four properties are reliable: InterContinental Ljubljana 39 to 155 m², Otočec Castle Hotel 18 to 75 m², Hotel Kendov Dvorec 24 to 48 m² and Vander Urbani Resort Ljubljana 18 to 38 m².
On minimum stays we distinguish two cases.
Two properties expressly record none – the InterContinental Ljubljana and the Vander Urbani Resort Ljubljana, both properties in Ljubljana.
For the Otočec Castle Hotel and the Hotel Kendov Dvorec nothing is recorded at all, neither an entry nor a booking field. That is different from an express “no minimum stay”, and we do not present it as one: we confirm the condition for your travel dates.
For anniversaries, wedding nights or simply more space: these properties in Slovenia offer their own suite categories. Our travel advisors know them in detail and will put together the right category for your occasion.
| Hotel | Destination | Suite categories (selection) | Largest suite |
|---|---|---|---|
| InterContinental Ljubljana | Ljubljana | Suite, Executive Suite, Junior Suite | Suite · 155 m² |
| Otočec Castle Hotel | Otočec | Royal Suite, Senior Suite, Family Suite | Royal Suite · 75 m² |
Entry rates across our four properties run from around 115 € at the Vander Urbani Resort Ljubljana to around 383 € at the Otočec Castle Hotel a night. The middle of the field sits at around 185 €.
We hold a price for all four, and only a factor of 3.3 separates the cheapest from the most expensive.
Notably: the most expensive and the cheapest property both carry no points programme; the single chain property sits between them on price.
At exactly one of the four properties: the InterContinental Ljubljana, through IHG One Rewards.
The other three belong to no points programme – the Otočec Castle Hotel, the Hotel Kendov Dvorec and the Vander Urbani Resort Ljubljana.
That same property is also the only one with a hotel credit, with recorded points crediting and with complimentary internet as a benefit. If you want chain benefits in Slovenia, there is exactly one address.
That depends on what you are after – and the four properties differ unusually strongly.
By price the Otočec Castle Hotel leads, a castle hotel, from around 383 € a night.
By range of benefits the InterContinental Ljubljana: the only property with a programme, a credit and points crediting, and with 21 room categories more than the other three combined.
By entry price the Vander Urbani Resort Ljubljana, at around 115 €.
At one of the four properties – the InterContinental Ljubljana.
None is recorded at the other three: not at the Otočec Castle Hotel, not at the Hotel Kendov Dvorec and not at the Vander Urbani Resort Ljubljana.
What is included everywhere: breakfast for two and a room upgrade, plus a welcome gift at three of the four.
Three – and they all sit in the same property, the InterContinental Ljubljana (three of 21 categories).
For the other three a distinction matters: at the Hotel Kendov Dvorec all four categories are expressly typed as rooms, so in our data there really is no suite.
At the Otočec Castle Hotel, by contrast, all five categories are untyped – there the data is missing, not necessarily the suites. Of the country's 36 categories, 19 carry no type at all.
Two properties expressly record none: the InterContinental Ljubljana and the Vander Urbani Resort Ljubljana, both properties in Ljubljana.
For the Otočec Castle Hotel and the Hotel Kendov Dvorec nothing is recorded at all – neither an entry in the benefit list nor a booking field.
That is not the same as “no minimum stay”, and we do not present it as one: we confirm the condition for your travel dates before booking.
Two of our four properties sit in Ljubljana: the InterContinental Ljubljana (from around 209 €) and the Vander Urbani Resort Ljubljana (from around 115 €).
Two sit in the countryside: the Otočec Castle Hotel, a castle hotel in Otočec (from around 383 €), and the Hotel Kendov Dvorec, a manor house in Spodnja Idrija (from around 160 €).
The decision is therefore less about place than about the kind of property – and about whether you need a programme and a credit. Both exist only in Ljubljana.
Measured against our portfolio: no. The middle of the field sits at around 185 € a night, and three of the four properties start below 210 €.
Only one sits clearly above: the Otočec Castle Hotel at around 383 €.
The field is narrow – a factor of only 3.3 separates the cheapest from the most expensive property, and breakfast for two and an upgrade are included at all four.
