Park Hyatt ZanzibarEvery booking through suitespot includes:Tanzania holds two very different kinds of property with us – and the price list separates them almost perfectly.
Gran Meliá ArushaThe country's five most expensive properties are without exception safari camps and lodges: the Mapito Safari Camp Serengeti (from around 2,111 €), Singita Grumeti Serengeti (around 1,913 €), the Siringit Migration Camp Serengeti National Park (around 1,522 €), the Siringit Serengeti Camp (around 1,323 €) and the Melia Ngorongoro Tanzania (around 1,144 €).Personal luxury travel adviceOur travel advisors personally accompany your booking – 365 days a year, from the first offer to late check-out. Reach the suitespot VIP service via email or WhatsApp.Phone: +49 30 81452346 · hotel@suitespot.comOnly in sixth place does Zanzibar appear: the White Sand Luxury Villas Zanzibar in Paje, from around 832 €.
After that the field mixes: Zuri Zanzibar in Kendwa (around 604 €), the Meliá Serengeti Lodge Tanzania (around 456 €), the Siringit Villa Usa River (around 398 €), the Park Hyatt Zanzibar (around 380 €), the Gran Meliá Arusha (around 316 €), the Hyatt Regency Dar es Salaam The Kilimanjaro (around 212 €) and the Amani Boutique Hotel Zanzibar in Paje (around 207 €).
In figures: nine of the 14 properties stand in the safari north, four on Zanzibar, one in Dar es Salaam.
For planning that means: combining safari and beach in Tanzania also means a marked jump in the nightly rate – in both directions.
suitespot rates are full direct rates: the benefits come on top of the regular rate.
Nine of our 14 properties lie in the north – in the Serengeti, at the Ngorongoro Crater, near Arusha and on the Usa River.
From around 2,111 € per night. It is also the only property in Tanzania for which an all-inclusive board arrangement for two is on file.
For Singita Grumeti Serengeti (from around 1,913 €) we hold no room categories; what is on file there is a complimentary spa treatment for two, once per stay.
Melia Ngorongoro TanzaniaFor the Elewana the Manor at Ngorongoro no entry rate is on file. Recorded there are a complimentary guided tour of the conservation area and a wine tasting for two.
From around 316 €. Here the upgrade is guaranteed already at the time of booking (subject to availability), plus 100 USD for food and drink, 100 USD for the spa and a further spa credit of 50 USD.
Four of our 14 properties stand on Zanzibar – and they cover a wide range.
Meliá Serengeti Lodge TanzaniaThe White Sand Luxury Villas Zanzibar in Paje starts at around 832 € and is the island's most expensive property. It does, however, lack a late check-out; on file are breakfast, upgrade and a welcome gift.
Zuri Zanzibar in Kendwa starts at around 604 € and carries a welcome drink plus a gift or experience worth 50 USD, or 100 USD for suites.
The Park Hyatt Zanzibar starts at around 380 € and, with 30 room categories, is by far the country's most varied property.
The Amani Boutique Hotel Zanzibar in Paje starts at around 207 € – Tanzania's most affordable property.
A factor of 4 separates the island's most expensive property from its cheapest – on Zanzibar alone the range is thus wider than in some entire countries in our selection.
Breakfast for two is on file at all 14 properties, without a single exception.
A room upgrade applies at 13 of the 14. It is missing at exactly one property: the Melia Ngorongoro Tanzania.
What stands there instead is something else: a guaranteed early check-in at 10am or a guaranteed late check-out at 4pm, a hotel credit of 100 USD from three nights and 20 per cent additional Meliá Rewards points for suites and villas. The property carries a package of its own, not a gap.
The upgrade is worth a careful look: two properties record it already at the time of booking – the Park Hyatt Zanzibar and the Hyatt Regency Dar es Salaam The Kilimanjaro. At the Gran Meliá Arusha it is even guaranteed at booking, subject to availability.
A late check-out applies at 12 of the 14, free internet at only eight, a points credit at seven and a welcome gift at five.
On the minimum stay, two properties expressly carry none; five ask for two nights.
Tanzania's properties differ greatly in size – and the room data reflects it.Personal luxury travel adviceOur travel advisors personally accompany your booking – 365 days a year, from the first offer to late check-out. Reach the suitespot VIP service via email or WhatsApp.Phone: +49 30 81452346 · hotel@suitespot.comThe Park Hyatt Zanzibar holds 30 categories, the Meliá Serengeti Lodge Tanzania 17, the White Sand Luxury Villas Zanzibar 15, the Hyatt Regency Dar es Salaam The Kilimanjaro 14 and the Melia Ngorongoro Tanzania 13.
At the other end stand the camps: the Mapito Safari Camp Serengeti and the Siringit Migration Camp Serengeti National Park hold four categories each, the Siringit Serengeti Camp, the Siringit Villa Usa River and the Elewana the Manor at Ngorongoro two each.
For Singita Grumeti Serengeti we hold no categories at all.
With that spread we do not calculate a suite share – a tented camp with four categories and an island resort with 30 cannot meaningfully be added together. Which categories are available in your travel window we are happy to clarify.
For anniversaries, wedding nights or simply more space: these properties in Tanzania offer their own suite categories. Our travel advisors know them in detail and will put together the right category for your occasion.

Entry rates across our 14 properties run from around 207 € at the Amani Boutique Hotel Zanzibar to around 2,111 € at the Mapito Safari Camp Serengeti per night. The mid-point sits at around 604 €.
The difference is mostly about type: the five most expensive are all safari camps, the most affordable stands on Zanzibar.
For one property no rate is on file, the Elewana the Manor at Ngorongoro.
Safari, and markedly so. The country's five most expensive properties are all safari camps and lodges, from around 1,144 € to around 2,111 €.
The most expensive property on Zanzibar, the White Sand Luxury Villas Zanzibar in Paje, starts at around 832 € and thus only ranks sixth.
On Zanzibar itself the range runs from around 207 € to around 832 € – a factor of 4.
The Mapito Safari Camp Serengeti, from around 2,111 € per night.
It is also the only property in Tanzania for which an all-inclusive board arrangement for two is on file.
Next come Singita Grumeti Serengeti (around 1,913 €) and the Siringit Migration Camp Serengeti National Park (around 1,522 €).
Exactly one of 14: the Melia Ngorongoro Tanzania.
What stands there instead is a package of its own: a guaranteed early check-in at 10am or a guaranteed late check-out at 4pm, a hotel credit of 100 USD from three nights and 20 per cent additional Meliá Rewards points for suites and villas.
At the other 13 properties an upgrade is on file – at the Gran Meliá Arusha even guaranteed already at booking.
At only five of the 14 properties – nine belong to no points programme.
Three programmes are represented: World of Hyatt with the Park Hyatt Zanzibar and the Hyatt Regency Dar es Salaam The Kilimanjaro, Meliá Rewards with the Melia Ngorongoro Tanzania and the Meliá Serengeti Lodge Tanzania, and Marriott Bonvoy with the Mapito Safari Camp Serengeti.
That is characteristic of the country: the nine properties without a programme are overwhelmingly the camps and lodges. A points credit is on file at seven properties.
Breakfast and upgrade apply regardless – breakfast at all 14, an upgrade at 13.
Exactly one: for the Mapito Safari Camp Serengeti an all-inclusive board arrangement for two is on file.
For the other 13 properties none is recorded in our data – breakfast for two, however, applies there without exception.
At safari camps in particular, full-board packages are often part of the rate; we clarify that for your travel dates.
Very different numbers – from 30 down to none.
The Park Hyatt Zanzibar holds 30 categories, the Meliá Serengeti Lodge Tanzania 17 and the White Sand Luxury Villas Zanzibar 15.
The camps are small: the Mapito Safari Camp Serengeti and the Siringit Migration Camp Serengeti National Park hold four each, the Siringit Serengeti Camp and the Siringit Villa Usa River two each.
For Singita Grumeti Serengeti we hold no categories. With that spread we do not calculate a suite share.
Our 14 properties are spread across five destinations, with two focal points: the Serengeti with five properties and Zanzibar with four.
In addition there are two properties at the Ngorongoro Crater and one each near Arusha, on the Usa River and in Dar es Salaam.
For a combination of safari and beach, expect a marked price difference: the north starts at around 316 €, Zanzibar at around 207 € – but the northern top end sits at two and a half times the island's.
