Vietnam is the most tightly programme-bound country among our destinations: 38 of the 41 properties are affiliated. The top belongs to the smallest of the big programmes
The second finding inverts what you would expect. IHG One Rewards has just seven properties in Vietnam – yet it accounts for four of the six most expensive.

The Amanoi (from around 969 €) – with no points programme –, the Six Senses Ninh Van Bay (from around 942 €), the Six Senses Con Dao (from around 664 €), the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort (from around 397 €), the Regent Phu Quoc (from around 331 €) and the Danang Marriott Resort Non Nuoc Beach Villas (from around 314 €).InterContinental Phu Quoc Long Beach ResortFour of them – ranks two to five – belong to IHG One Rewards. With seven properties in the whole country, that means more than half of this programme sits in the upper price half of Vietnam.
And the same finding repeats on suites: the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort lists 23 suites of 34 categories, the InterContinental Halong Bay 21 of 29, the InterContinental Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort 16 of 36 and the Regent Phu Quoc 15 of 30. The top end is therefore not only more expensive but differently composed.
Four properties list nothing but suites
And they do so without a single category whose type is missing – which makes the statement reliable: the Villa Le Corail Gran Meliá Nha Trang (ten of ten), the Six Senses Ninh Van Bay (nine of nine), the Six Senses Con Dao (nine of nine) and the Banyan Tree Lang Co (seven of seven).
The cheaper third
Six properties start below 100 €: the Renaissance Hoi An (around 72 €) – the lowest entry in the country –, the The Westin Resort & Spa Cam Ranh (around 77 €), the Hotel de la Coupole Sapa (around 90 €), the Sheraton Nha Trang (around 90 €), the Nha Trang Marriott Resort Hon Tre Island (around 96 €) and the Legacy Yen Tu (around 96 €).
All six belong to Marriott Bonvoy or ALL (Accor) – so the cheap end is firmly in chain hands while the expensive end is precisely not.
What a night costs
Entry rates run from around 72 € at the Renaissance Hoi An to around 969 € at the Amanoi. A hotel credit comes with 26 of the 41 properties, almost always 100 USD.
One property stacks several: at the Amanoi there is 100 USD for the spa – and 250 USD from a villa upwards. On top of that, all residences receive a further 100 USD from two nights, plus an airport transfer in both directions from three nights.
Two credits are earmarked, and we say how: at the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort the 100 USD apply to food, drink and the spa; at the Regent Phu Quoc expressly only to food and drink. At the Villa Le Corail Gran Meliá Nha Trang there are 100 USD from two nights.
One limitation concerns the upgrade, and it is stated verbatim in the conditions: at the Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi the complimentary upgrade on arrival is subject to availability and suites are excluded.
One sports offering is expressly recorded: the Six Senses Ninh Van Bay provides table tennis along with tennis, volleyball, basketball and pétanque courts free of charge.
Complimentary internet comes with 36 of the 41 properties, a welcome gift with 35 of the 41.
Suites, room sizes and a minimum stay that for once lines up

On room sizes Vietnam shows very high upper values – and they are fully explainable. The InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort runs from 70 to 2,235 m² and the InterContinental Halong Bay from 53 to 2,200 m²: both hold categories with up to four bedrooms. At the Regent Phu Quoc (55 to 1,410 m²) there is even a category with seven bedrooms, and at the Amanoi (95 to 1,000 m²) one with five. These are whole villas, not single rooms.
Also reliable: Six Senses Ninh Van Bay 154 to 900 m², Six Senses Con Dao 150 to 671 m², Villa Le Corail Gran Meliá Nha Trang 180 to 639 m², Hyatt Regency Danang Resort 40 to 307 m² and Park Hyatt Saigon 34 to 190 m².
On minimum stays Vietnam is the cleanest case in our portfolio.

Six properties name two nights – and at all six the booking field confirms the same figure: the Angsana Lang Co Vietnam, the Garrya Mu Cang Chai, the Hotel de la Coupole Sapa, the Hotel des Arts Saigon, the Jiva Hoa Lu Retreat and the La Veranda Resort Phu Quoc. Both sources lining up completely does not occur anywhere else in our data.
Only in the booking field do two nights appear at the Hyatt Regency Danang Resort. One contradiction remains: the Sheraton Nha Trang records no minimum stay in its benefit list but one night in the booking field. There we claim no figure.

Our portfolio is unusually widely spread: 41 properties across more than twenty different place entries, from Sapa in the north to Can Tho in the Mekong Delta.
A note for your search: the place entries in the hotel data are particularly inconsistent here. Ho Chi Minh City appears under two different spellings, and seven properties carry “Saigon” in their own name. Hanoi, Phu Quoc, Lang Co and Cam Ranh likewise sit under more than one place name. So we name the properties individually.
The price peak sits on the coast and the islands – the Amanoi, the Six Senses Ninh Van Bay, the Six Senses Con Dao and the Regent Phu Quoc – while the cheaper third sits more in the cities and in Hoi An.
Which hotels in Vietnam belong to Marriott Bonvoy?

And this is exactly where a closer look pays off: fourteen of those 16 carry no hotel credit. Only the JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort and the Sheraton Grand Opera Hotel Saigon come with one.
