Asia: 1,168 properties, and the lowest entry price

Asia is our second-largest portfolio and the one with the lowest entry point: 1,168 luxury hotels across 30 countries, spread over 124 dedicated destinations. Rates start at around €44 per night – lower than on any other continent – with a typical rate of about €207.Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm JumeirahWaldorf Astoria Dubai Palm JumeirahA factor of seven separates the cheapest country from the most expensive here – in Asia your choice of country shapes the budget more than your choice of property. What stays the same either way:
  • free breakfast for two
  • room upgrade subject to availability
  • hotel credit on site
  • early check-in and late check-out subject to availability

Concentration or spread – Asia's two faces

Six countries carry the Asian portfolio: China with 251 properties, the United Arab Emirates with 129, Thailand with 124, Japan with 112, Indonesia with 72 and India with 65.Rixos Premium Saadiyat IslandRixos Premium Saadiyat Island · Abu DhabiTwo very different patterns sit behind those numbers. The Emirates concentrate their 129 properties across just three destinations – the densest concentration anywhere in our portfolio. Thailand spreads almost the same number (124) over 19 destinations, from Bangkok to Phuket and Koh Samui. If you want a city, the Emirates and China offer the widest choice in the smallest area; if you are planning a route, Thailand, Indonesia and India.

The lowest entry point in the entire portfolio

The cheapest entry sits at around €44 per night, the median across our Asian portfolio at about €207 – the lowest of any continent. The most affordable countries are Vietnam (median €148), the United Arab Emirates (€150) and Macau (€155). At the top end sit Laos (€1,036), the Maldives (€798) and Bhutan (€697) – three destinations where we work almost exclusively with lodges and resorts rather than city hotels.Mandarin Oriental SingaporeMandarin Oriental SingaporeFour entries deliberately sit outside that calculation, because they are whole-property rates: Tatvani in Chiang Rai (around €6,764), Uluwatu Estate in Bali (€6,510), Cheval Blanc Randheli in the Maldives (€2,930) and Villa Amarisa in Phuket (€2,700). A further 24 of the 1,168 properties carry no published price with us and are quoted on request.

Nineteen programmes – the widest spread

Nowhere else does our portfolio spread across as many programmes as here. Earning works the same everywhere regardless: our rates are direct rates, so points and status nights keep accruing normally. Across Asia we work with properties from 19 different hotel programmes – more than on any other continent.Conrad DubaiConrad DubaiNo single programme covers more than a quarter of the portfolio here: Marriott Bonvoy leads with 290 properties, ahead of ALL (164), World of Hyatt (125) and IHG Rewards (119). Hilton Honors (59) and Leaders Club (47) follow, with thirteen further programmes sharing the remainder. Which programme a property belongs to is listed in the overview on each country and destination page – and on the property page itself.

Country first, then the route

Asia rewards planning in that order in particular: prices can triple between two neighbouring countries, and the destination count per country tells you whether a touring route makes sense at all. Thailand with 19 destinations is a route; the Emirates with three are a single-base stay.Personal luxury travel adviceOur travel advisors personally accompany your booking – 365 days a year, from the first offer to late check-out. If you are still undecided, start with the destination counts: they show how far a country can be travelled.

Frequently asked questions about luxury hotels in Asia

What does a luxury hotel in Asia cost?

Entry level starts at around €44 per night – the lowest of any continent – with a typical rate of about €207. The range between countries is wide: Vietnam sits at a median of €148, Laos at €1,036. Four entries are whole-property rates rather than room rates, including Tatvani in Chiang Rai at around €6,764. 24 of the 1,168 properties carry no published price. Current rates including your benefits are shown on each country or destination page.

Do I earn points with suitespot and keep my status?

Yes. The Asian portfolio spreads across 19 programmes – the widest spread anywhere in our portfolio. Marriott Bonvoy leads with 290 properties, ahead of ALL (164) and World of Hyatt (125). Booking is at the direct rate, so points and status nights count exactly as they would booking with the hotel itself.

How many countries and destinations does suitespot cover in Asia?

We list 1,168 luxury hotels across 30 Asian countries and 124 dedicated destinations below them. China has the most properties with 251, Thailand the most destinations with 19. The United Arab Emirates concentrate their 129 properties across just three destinations – the densest concentration in our entire portfolio.

What benefits do I get when booking through suitespot?

In Asia the credit stands out in particular: 951 of the 1,168 properties carry one – proportionally more than in Europe. Breakfast is included at 1,143 and the room upgrade subject to availability at 1,136. Early check-in and late check-out subject to availability come on top. Exactly which benefits a property carries is shown on its own page.

Which country in Asia is the most affordable?

A surprise for many: the United Arab Emirates sit at a median of €150, almost level with Vietnam (€148) and ahead of Macau (€155). Dubai and Abu Dhabi offer a very broad range and the median lands well below the destination's reputation. At the other end sits Laos at €1,036. Only countries with at least three priced properties are ranked.

Are there current offers for luxury hotels in Asia?

Almost two in three: 733 of the 1,168 Asian addresses currently run an offer – by far the highest share of any continent. In absolute terms that puts Asia almost level with Europe, even though the portfolio is barely half the size. What is live right now is shown further up this page; expired offers are hidden.
