The best-known addresses all sit within a few minutes' walk of each other in District 1. The Park Hyatt Saigon on Lam Son Square stands directly beside the Opera House and remains the city's classic choice. The Reverie Saigon on Nguyen Hue Boulevard carries a 4.9 reisetopia rating – the highest in our entire Asian portfolio – and at around EUR 298 a night is also the most expensive property in the city.

Saigon or Ho Chi Minh City? And why District 1 is the answer
Both names are correct: officially the city has been Ho Chi Minh City since 1976, but in daily use – and in hotel names – Saigon has stuck. In practice both usually mean the same thing: District 1, the colonial centre where nearly everything visitors come for is located.

The JW Marriott Hotel Saigon stands at the corner of Hai Ba Trung and Le Duan Boulevard, the grand axis running towards the Reunification Palace. Bình Thạnh – the view
The Vinpearl Landmark 81 on Điện Biên Phủ is the only property outside District 1. It occupies the tallest building in Vietnam; the suites are named Panoramic, Landmark Panoramic and Presidential, alongside a Connecting Family category.
