Your guide to the best luxury hotels in Seville

Seville is a city where the hotel address decides the day: the cathedral, the Alcázar and Santa Cruz sit inside a few hundred metres of each other, and almost everything worth walking to is inside that circle. We currently feature 8 hand-picked luxury hotels in Seville, with entry-level rates from about EUR 159 to EUR 358 per night and a median of roughly EUR 192 – a level that still buys a genuinely exclusive stay in the old town.Querencia de SevillaQuerencia de Sevilla · Casco AntiguoEvery booking through suitespot comes with a comprehensive package of suitespot benefits:
  • Complimentary breakfast for two
  • Room upgrade subject to availability
  • Up to USD 100 hotel credit per stay
  • Early check-in & late check-out subject to availability
  • Regular points & status benefits in the hotel loyalty programs

The best-known address is the Hotel Alfonso XIII on Calle San Fernando, beside the Alcázar and part of The Luxury Collection – the answer for anyone searching specifically for a Luxury Collection property in Seville. It is also the highest entry rate in our selection at about EUR 358.

The rest of the choice is smaller and, for many trips, more interesting. Serras Sevilla stands on Avenida de la Constitución, the avenue that runs past the cathedral. Querencia de Sevilla and the Magdalena Plaza Radisson Collection sit a few streets north in the Arenal quarter, Los Seises is tucked behind the cathedral in the Casco Antiguo, and Hospes Las Casas del Rey de Baeza occupies a quieter square in Santa Catalina. The Gran Meliá Colón on Canalejas is the largest of the group. And one property crosses the river entirely: the Cavalta Boutique Hotel on Calle San Jacinto, in Triana.

Exclusive hotels in the centre of Seville

"Exclusive" in Seville means something specific, and it is not size. With eight properties in the whole city, the selection is small by design – and six of the eight stand inside the old town, within a walk of the cathedral.Magdalena Plaza Seville Radisson Collection HotelMagdalena Plaza Seville Radisson Collection Hotel · CentroThe tightest addresses are Serras Sevilla on Avenida de la Constitución, directly on the axis between the cathedral and the Archivo de Indias, and Los Seises on Calle Segovias, in the block behind the cathedral. The Hotel Alfonso XIII sits on the other side of the Alcázar on Calle San Fernando, next to the university. Slightly north, Querencia de Sevilla on Calle Fernández y González and the Magdalena Plaza Radisson Collection on Plaza de la Magdalena put you in the Arenal quarter – ten minutes from the cathedral, closer to where the city eats.Personal luxury travel adviceOur travel advisors personally accompany your booking – 365 days a year, from the first offer to late check-out. Hospes Las Casas del Rey de Baeza on Plaza Jesús de la Redención is in Santa Catalina, on the quiet north-eastern edge of the old town – far enough from the tour groups to notice the difference. And the Cavalta Boutique Hotel on Calle San Jacinto is our only address in Triana, across the Guadalquivir: a different city in the evening, and a ten-minute walk across the Isabel II bridge in the morning.

Insider tip from our travel advisors

Seville's calendar decides the price more than the season does. In Semana Santa and during the Feria de Abril rates rise steeply and the old-town properties sell out months ahead – if those weeks are the reason for your trip, book far earlier than feels reasonable. Conversely, July and August are genuinely hot, which is why the same rooms are at their cheapest then, and why a pool or a roof terrace stops being a nice extra and becomes the deciding factor.

Where to stay in Seville: the four quarters

Seville's old town is compact enough to cross on foot in half an hour, so the question is less about distance than about atmosphere.Los Seises SevilleLos Seises Seville · Casco AntiguoThese four areas cover the whole of our selection.

Cathedral, Alcázar & Santa Cruz – the postcard

The Hotel Alfonso XIII on Calle San Fernando is the address on this side of the Alcázar, and Los Seises on Calle Segovias sits in the block immediately behind the cathedral. Serras Sevilla faces the same axis from Avenida de la Constitución. From all three you reach the Alcázar, the Giralda and the Barrio Santa Cruz in a few minutes on foot – which in the summer heat is worth more than any transfer.

El Arenal – between the bullring and the river

Querencia de Sevilla on Calle Fernández y González, the Magdalena Plaza Radisson Collection on Plaza de la Magdalena and the Gran Meliá Colón on Canalejas share the quarter between the cathedral and the Guadalquivir. It is the shortest walk to the Maestranza bullring and to the tapas streets around Calle Arfe, and quieter at night than the area around the cathedral.

Santa Catalina – the quiet north-east

Hospes Las Casas del Rey de Baeza on Plaza Jesús de la Redención is the choice if you want the old town without the crowds: a ten-minute walk to the cathedral, and a neighbourhood that stays residential. The Casa de Pilatos and the Alameda are on the doorstep.

Triana – across the river

The Cavalta Boutique Hotel on Calle San Jacinto is our only property on the western bank, and the only one without a loyalty programme. Triana was the potters' and sailors' quarter and still feels separate from the centre – the ceramics workshops, the market and the flamenco bars are here rather than in Santa Cruz. The Isabel II bridge puts you back in the old town in ten minutes.

Dining: eating in the hotel, and eating out

Seville is one of the few cities where guests search as often for the hotel restaurant as for the hotel itself – and it deserves an honest answer rather than a list of names we cannot verify.Gran Meliá Colón SevilleGran Meliá Colón Seville · StadtmitteWhat we will not do is rank the kitchens for you sight unseen. Chefs and concepts change faster than any page can follow, and a ranking published today would be wrong within a season. What our travel advisors do instead is tell you, at the moment you enquire, which hotel restaurant is currently worth the evening and when you are better off in the tapas streets around Calle Arfe or across the river in Triana. Dinner in Seville starts late, so a table at nine or half past nine is normal rather than ambitious.

One practical point: your suitespot hotel credit of up to USD 100 per stay can be redeemed directly in the hotel restaurant or bar at many properties. In a city where dinner for two rarely reaches that figure, it usually covers the whole evening. Because the rules differ by hotel, we confirm before you arrive where and how the credit is best used.

What EUR 200 buys in Seville

Seville is one of the best-value luxury cities in our Spanish portfolio. Its median entry rate of roughly EUR 192 sits below Valencia (EUR 215), Málaga (EUR 229), Madrid (EUR 305) and well below Barcelona and Palma – and the gap is not explained by a weaker selection but by a smaller city.

The range itself is narrow: Los Seises starts at about EUR 159, Hospes Las Casas del Rey de Baeza at EUR 170, the Magdalena Plaza Radisson Collection at EUR 175, the Cavalta Boutique Hotel at EUR 185 and Querencia de Sevilla at EUR 198. Above them sit Serras Sevilla (EUR 240), the Gran Meliá Colón (EUR 270) and the Hotel Alfonso XIII (EUR 358).

In practice that means the choice in Seville is rarely about budget. Between the cheapest and the most expensive property lies about EUR 200 a night – less than a single category upgrade costs in Madrid. Spend the difference on the room rather than the address, and use the upgrade subject to availability from your suitespot benefits to go one further.

Alcázar tickets, flamenco and what we arrange

Two things in Seville are worth arranging before you arrive rather than at the desk. The first is the Real Alcázar, where timed entry sells out days ahead in season and the queue without it is long and unshaded. The second is flamenco – the difference between the tourist shows near the cathedral and the tablaos in Triana is considerable, and our travel advisors will point you at the latter.Personal luxury travel adviceOur travel advisors personally accompany your booking – 365 days a year, from the first offer to late check-out. Reach the suitespot VIP service via email or WhatsApp.Phone: +49 30 81452346 · hotel@suitespot.comAsk via WhatsAppWrite an emailAdd to that the Cathedral and Giralda, the Casa de Pilatos and, in spring, the practicalities of Semana Santa and the Feria de Abril: during those weeks whole streets close and reaching your hotel by car becomes impossible. We tell you in advance where the taxi can actually stop.

As a suitespot guest you travel with VIP status: our travel advisors register your preferences with the hotel before you arrive – in Seville that usually means a room away from the street noise and, in summer, one that is not facing the afternoon sun.

Frequently asked questions about luxury hotels in Seville

How much does a luxury hotel in Seville cost?

Entry-level rates at our 8 Seville hotels currently start at around EUR 159 per night at Los Seises and reach about EUR 358 at the Hotel Alfonso XIII, depending on season, room category and availability. The median entry rate is roughly EUR 192 – below Valencia, Málaga and Madrid. The range is unusually narrow: barely EUR 200 a night separates the cheapest property from the most expensive. You always book direct rates through suitespot, and the benefits worth over EUR 500 (breakfast, upgrade chance, hotel credit) come on top.

Which are the most exclusive hotels in the centre of Seville?

Three sit inside the cathedral quarter: Serras Sevilla on Avenida de la Constitución, directly on the axis between the cathedral and the Archivo de Indias; Los Seises on Calle Segovias in the block behind the cathedral; and the Hotel Alfonso XIII on Calle San Fernando, beside the Alcázar. If you want the old town without the crowds, Hospes Las Casas del Rey de Baeza in Santa Catalina is ten minutes further and considerably quieter.

Is there a Luxury Collection hotel in Seville?

Yes – the Hotel Alfonso XIII on Calle San Fernando, beside the Alcázar and the university, which is part of The Luxury Collection within Marriott Bonvoy. It is also the highest entry rate in our Seville selection, at about EUR 358 per night. Two further Marriott Bonvoy properties are in the city: Querencia de Sevilla (Autograph Collection) and Los Seises (Tribute Portfolio), plus Hospes Las Casas del Rey de Baeza.

Do I earn points and keep my status on suitespot bookings?

Yes. suitespot rates are genuine direct rates: you earn regular points and elite nights in the respective programme – in Seville Marriott Bonvoy covers four of our eight hotels (Hotel Alfonso XIII, Querencia de Sevilla, Los Seises and Hospes Las Casas del Rey de Baeza), with Radisson Rewards at the Magdalena Plaza, the Leaders Club at the Gran Meliá Colón and iPrefer at Serras Sevilla. Only the Cavalta Boutique Hotel in Triana takes part in no loyalty programme. The suitespot benefits come on top either way.

Which Seville hotels have a good restaurant?

We deliberately do not publish a ranking, because kitchens and chefs change faster than any page can follow – one written today would be wrong within a season. Our travel advisors tell you at the point of enquiry which hotel restaurant is currently worth the evening, and when you are better off in the tapas streets around Calle Arfe or across the river in Triana.

Practically: your suitespot credit of up to USD 100 per stay is redeemable in the hotel restaurant or bar at many properties, which in Seville usually covers dinner for two entirely.

Which Seville hotel is best for a first visit?

Anything inside the cathedral quarter, because Seville rewards walking and the summer heat punishes anything else. Serras Sevilla, Los Seises and the Hotel Alfonso XIII put the Alcázar, the Giralda and Santa Cruz within a few minutes. For a second or third visit, Hospes Las Casas del Rey de Baeza in Santa Catalina or the Cavalta Boutique Hotel in Triana gives you a different city in the evening while staying ten minutes from the centre.

When is the best time to visit Seville?

March to May and late September to November – warm but bearable, and the city is at its best. Be aware that Semana Santa and the Feria de Abril fall inside that window: the city is extraordinary during both, but rates rise steeply, the old-town hotels sell out months ahead and whole streets close to traffic. July and August are genuinely hot, which makes them the cheapest weeks of the year and the moment when a pool or roof terrace decides the hotel.

Is Triana a good place to stay in Seville?

For a second visit, yes. Triana, on the western bank of the Guadalquivir, was the potters' and sailors' quarter and still feels separate from the centre – the ceramics workshops, the covered market and the flamenco tablaos are here rather than in Santa Cruz. Our Cavalta Boutique Hotel on Calle San Jacinto is the only property we have on that side, and the Isabel II bridge puts you back at the cathedral in ten minutes on foot.

Booking through suitespot also gives you benefits such as complimentary breakfast and a possible room upgrade.
