The Atlantis properties are on Paradise Island, reached by bridge from downtown, and they are a genuinely different kind of stay; we list them separately.

What we do not have on the Bahamas

It is worth stating plainly, because a listing page hides it: the Rosewood Baha Mar, the SLS Baha Mar and the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar are all recorded at One Baha Mar Boulevard on Cable Beach. Three names, one address, one development.
That removes location from the decision entirely – something that is true in very few of our destinations. The beach in front of them is the same beach; the drive to the airport is the same drive; the restaurants of the development are shared. What is left to compare is the house itself, the room category and the loyalty programme, and on those three the properties differ sharply: 284 € against 559 €, six suite categories against three, and World of Hyatt and ALL against no programme at all.
The most useful way to use that is to invert the usual reflex. Instead of picking the property first and the room second, decide what room you want – a family layout, a high floor, an ocean aspect – and let that decide the property. The Grand Hyatt Baha Mar, clearly. It is the only one of our three Nassau properties with dedicated Family and Connecting room categories, alongside a Family suite – and it also has the lowest entry rate of the three, at around 284 €.
The SLS Baha Mar and the Rosewood Baha Mar record no family-specific category with us. That does not mean they will not work, but we would rather state what is on file.
Across on Paradise Island, The Royal at Atlantis also lists a Family suite. Tell your travel advisor how many of you there are and how old the children are, and you will get the specific category before you book.
Do you have hotels in downtown Nassau or on the Out Islands?
No, and we would rather say so plainly. Our Bahamas selection covers exactly two places: Cable Beach, where all three of our Nassau properties stand at Baha Mar, and Paradise Island, where the three Atlantis properties are.
We list nothing in downtown Nassau itself – the harbour, Bay Street and the colonial centre – and nothing on the Out Islands: no Exuma, no Eleuthera, no Harbour Island.
For a stay built around Cable Beach or Atlantis that is no drawback at all. If the quieter islands are the point of the trip, tell your travel advisor before booking rather than after arrival.
When is the best time to visit Nassau?
December to April is the dry and most reliable season, and also the busiest and most expensive. With only three properties in this class on Cable Beach, a busy week can mean the whole selection is full at once.
May and November are the value windows: the water is still excellent and the beach noticeably quieter.
Late summer and early autumn fall within the Atlantic hurricane season, which is why rates are lowest then. Ask your travel advisor what the cancellation terms look like for those dates before you commit – and also which of your days are heavy cruise-ship days, since that changes downtown considerably.
