Since May 2025, the Grand Bohemian Lodge Asheville has been welcoming guests again. After Hurricane Helene in the fall of 2024, Mark and Diana Kessler had the hotel restored and reopened it under its new name. Arriving today, you check in at a new front desk beneath carved wood paneling and next to the lobby's stone fireplace, both carefully brought back to life.
The 104-room hotel is styled as a 19th-century European hunting lodge. The Grand Bohemian Gallery shows works from the Kessler family collection and has grown to include a shop; in the Manor House annex there is a new room for small meetings. The spa now goes by The Spa at Grand Bohemian.
The Kessler Collection first opened the property in 2009 as Grand Bohemian Hotel Asheville, and in 2010 it became one of the seven founding hotels of Marriott's Autograph Collection. It holds four AAA diamonds, and pets are welcome.
