Named for a ski legend: Stein Eriksen Lodge Deer Valley carries the name of Norwegian Olympic champion Stein Eriksen and has welcomed guests on the Deer Valley slopes since December 1982. Norwegian style runs through the house, most rooms have a fireplace, and every room comes with a deep soaking tub. The Michelin Guide awards the lodge one Key.
A slice of Austria: The Goldener Hirsch was founded by the Eccles family in 1992 as an Austrian-style chalet, furnished with hand-painted furniture and art from the family collection. Next to it stand two modern residence buildings by architect Tom Kundig, linked to the original inn by a glass bridge. Michelin gives this house one Key as well.
