For complete seclusion, stay at the Younch Hotel Xi'an, completed in 2025 in the Huangchengfang district near the northeast corner of the city wall. Just 16 rooms are set over three floors around a courtyard with a meditation pool; MUDA-Architects shaped the fortress-like house from aged wood, raw stone and black-glazed ceramics. Free-standing tubs and Acqua di Parma amenities are part of the experience, and at the wine bar the cocktails tell the stories of the thirteen dynasties that ruled from Xi'an. It is also the first Small Luxury Hotels of the World property in the city.

Brand new is the Cordis Xi'an, which opened in June 2026 in Airport New City, right next to the new Terminal 5 of Xi'an Xianyang International Airport. The rooms reinterpret the three-courtyard layout of the Tang Dynasty, Ming Court serves Cantonese and Shaanxi dishes, and there is a heated indoor pool. Our advice: ideal for the night before an early flight, although the old town is more than 30 kilometers away.

Gran Meliá Xian · QujiangQujiang: In the south, the new Qujiang district spreads around the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, with parks, lakes and Datang Furong Garden. The Gran Meliá Xian overlooks gardens and a lake; the W Xi'an stands next to Qujiang Pool Park, close to the pagoda and Qujiang Lake, and every room there has a private balcony.
High-Tech Zone: Southwest of the old town, office towers, malls and exhibition halls line the streets. The Ritz-Carlton Xi'an stands in the business district on Keji 2nd Road, the Grand Hyatt Xi’an is part of the Maike Center near the city’s convention centers, and the Shangri-La Xi’an is on Keji Road in Yanta District, about a five-minute walk from Keji Road metro station.
