First, the location, which is the reason people come: Uvero Alto lies about forty minutes north of the Punta Cana hotel zone. The beach is more open, the development thinner, and after dark there is little outside the properties. If you want bars and a choice of restaurants, the hotel zone serves you better; if you want quiet, this is the place.
Second, the transfer: about 45 minutes from Punta Cana airport. That is longer than to the hotel zone, and a hire car rarely pays here – the three properties are self-contained, and there is little in between.
Third, the season, which moves the price far more than the choice of property: December to April is the dry season and the most expensive; hurricane season runs June to November, with September and October the most unsettled. With twenty-one euros between the properties, your dates move the rate by a multiple of what the property choice does.

On the same stretch of beach and belonging to World of Hyatt. Exactly in the middle of the three on price, and the only property that carries no suite category in our data – if you want space beyond the standard category, the other two have it.
Zoëtry Agua Punta Cana – 288 €
The cheapest of the three and the only one with all-inclusive. It belongs to World of Hyatt and lists four suite categories: Garden, Ocean Front, Terrace and Romantic. With a twenty-one euro spread this is the obvious choice for most travellers – lowest entry rate, most suite categories and full board in one.
Uvero Alto or the Punta Cana hotel zone?
The question that reaches us most often about this destination is not which of the three but Uvero Alto or the hotel zone. It is also the more important one.
Uvero Alto lies about forty minutes north of the Punta Cana hotel zone, on the open Atlantic. The stretch is markedly less built up and the three properties stand well apart. After dark, little happens outside the resorts.
The hotel zone – Bávaro, Cap Cana, Playa Blanca – is the opposite: denser, with restaurants, bars and marinas outside the properties, and far more choice. We hold eleven properties there, from about 233 € to 900 €.
Two of our three Uvero Alto properties – the W Punta Cana and the Zoëtry Agua – also appear in our Punta Cana selection. That is not an error but the overlap between a beach stretch and the wider area.
The practical answer: if the beach is the point of the trip and you will mostly stay on the property, Uvero Alto is quieter and the beach is better. If you want to go out in the evening or plan excursions, the location costs you forty minutes each way, every time.
