The Villa Gallici sits at the edge of town, within walking distance of old Aix.
The Château de Fonscolombe and the Auberge La Coste, by contrast, are both in Le Puy-Sainte-Réparade – some twenty kilometres north, in the Durance valley, among vineyards. By car that is a good half hour.
That is not a drawback. But it is a different trip: if you want to sit on the Cours Mirabeau in the evening, you stay in town. If you want to wake up among vines and stay by the pool at midday, you go out.

For orientation: the Montagne Sainte-Victoire stands east of Aix and is visible from almost everywhere – Cézanne painted it for decades, and his studio still stands north of town.
