This destination is called Valparaíso – and the hotel stands in Viña del Mar. That is intentional – and our recommendation.
The two cities share a bay and run into each other without a border. But they are not the same: Valparaíso is the city you look at – the hills, the funiculars, the murals, the port. Viña del Mar is the city where you sleep by the sea – beaches, gardens, promenade. The hotel stands exactly on the seam: on the rock of Caleta Abarca, where Viña begins and Valparaíso ends.
The district is Miramar, the address Viña del Mar – and this destination still carries the name of the city you come for.
Add a second word that makes the difference. All nine categories face the sea, but in two versions: six carry Oceanfront – directly above the water –, three carry Ocean View – the sea in sight. Our recommended category, Deluxe, is among the six.
Our advice: sleep in Viña, visit Valparaíso – and book Oceanfront. The port, the hills and the Concepción funicular are a quarter of an hour by taxi or metro; in the evening you return to a city where the sea lies beneath the balcony. Tell our travel advisors it is the front row you are after.

What is within reach: the hills of Valparaíso with Cerro Alegre and Cerro Concepción, a quarter of an hour; the Museo Fonck in Viña with the Easter Island moai outside its door, ten minutes; and the Quinta Vergara, the park where the Viña festival takes place in February.
For orientation: Santiago and its airport lie an hour and a half inland. The Valparaíso metro stops in Miramar and links the two cities; the Casablanca valley with its wineries is half an hour away, Isla Negra with Neruda's home a good hour down the coast.
