Residences at Solaz Los Cabos · El RosaritoWith every booking through suitespot you receive a comprehensive package of suitespot benefits:The highest entry rates belong to the One&Only Palmilla on the Transpeninsular highway (from around 859 €) and the Ritz-Carlton Reserve Zadún at Puerto Los Cabos (740 €), which lists Zadún, Cortés, Grand and two family suite categories.
In the middle sit the Residences at Zadún (700 €), the JW Marriott Casa Maat Los Cabos at La Playa (630 €) with its JW Umey, Tesi Governor, Taypa and Kuttay Presidential suites, the Marquis Los Cabos Resort at Cabo Real (414 €) and the Paradisus Los Cabos (350 €).
The two most accessible are the JW Marriott Los Cabos Beach (265 €) and the Drift San José del Cabo in the Gallery District (130 €) – the only address of the nine inside the town.
One figure sits outside all of this: the Residences at Solaz Los Cabos are listed at around 2,810 €, which is a whole-residence rate rather than a room rate. We keep it out of the range above rather than let it distort the picture.
Beachfront suites are what people ask about most here, and the answer is more specific than a resort list suggests, because each property names its categories differently.
Ritz-Carlton Reserve Zadún San José del Cabo · Puerto Los CabosThe Ritz-Carlton Reserve Zadún at Puerto Los Cabos lists Zadún, Cortés, Grand, Family and Family Cortés suites (from around 740 €). The One&Only Palmilla lists Grand, Junior, Casita, Premier, Premier Family and Family categories (859 €) – the Casita is the distinctive one, a separate unit rather than a floor in a block.Personal luxury travel adviceOur travel advisors personally accompany your booking – 365 days a year, from the first offer to late check-out. Reach the suitespot VIP service via email or WhatsApp.Phone: +49 30 81452346 · hotel@suitespot.comAt the JW Marriott Casa Maat Los Cabos the suites carry local names – JW Umey, Tesi Governor, Taypa, Kuttay Presidential, Umey and Governor (630 €) – and its neighbour, the JW Marriott Los Cabos Beach, repeats several of them at less than half the rate (265 €): JW Umey, Ambassador Keey, Luxury Umey, JW Premier Taypa and Premier Taypa. At the Paradisus Los Cabos the categories are The Reserve and The Reserve Swim Up, and at the Marquis Los Cabos Resort a Presidential suite.
Two of the nine are Residences rather than hotels – Residences at Zadún and Residences at Solaz Los Cabos – which is worth knowing before comparing rates, because a residence is priced as a whole unit.
Tell our travel advisors whether you want a beachfront aspect, a casita or a two-bedroom residence. Those are three different products here, and the rate alone does not separate them.
The most useful thing to know about this coast is that the Pacific and the Sea of Cortés behave differently. San José del Cabo and the corridor face the Sea of Cortés, which is the calmer side – but swimmable beach is not a given at every resort along it, and it varies by property rather than by rate. Ask us which of the nine has swimmable water in front of it for your dates before you book; it is the single most common source of disappointment here.
Second, distances. The corridor runs for tens of kilometres between San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, and our properties are spread along it. If you plan to eat in town in the evenings, either take the one address that is in town or budget for taxis every night.
Third, the programmes: Marriott Bonvoy covers four of the nine, the Leaders Club two. Three take part in no points programme, among them the One&Only Palmilla and both Residences.
In San José del Cabo the address is the decision, because the corridor and the town are two different holidays.
One&Only Palmilla San José Del Cabo · PalmillaHere is how the nine divide.
The Ritz-Carlton Reserve Zadún on Boulevard Mar de Cortez (from around 740 €), part of Marriott Bonvoy and with two family suite categories, and the Residences at Zadún (700 €), which lists family connecting and two-bedroom layouts and takes part in no points programme.
Two properties at the same beachfront address block: the JW Marriott Casa Maat Los Cabos (630 €) and the JW Marriott Los Cabos Beach (265 €). Both Marriott Bonvoy, both listing overlapping suite names – and one costs less than half the other. If you compare them by rate alone you will learn nothing; ask us what actually differs.
The One&Only Palmilla on the Transpeninsular highway (859 €), the highest room rate of the nine, with Casita, Grand and Premier Family categories. At Cabo Real follow the Marquis Los Cabos Resort (414 €) and the Paradisus Los Cabos (350 €), plus the Residences at Solaz Los Cabos, which are priced as whole residences.
Drift San José del Cabo on Miguel Hidalgo in the Gallery District, at 130 € – the lowest entry rate of the nine by a wide margin and the only one from which the town's galleries and restaurants are a walk rather than a drive. If you searched for a luxury resort near downtown San José del Cabo, this is the honest answer: it is the one.
Nothing in Cabo San Lucas at the far end of the corridor, and nothing on the Pacific side. Our selection here is San José del Cabo and the corridor east of it.
One of the nine: the Marquis Los Cabos Resort at Cabo Real, at an entry rate of around 414 €, is the only property in our San José del Cabo selection whose rate is recorded as all-inclusive.
Residences at Zadún · Puerto Los CabosWe check that against the benefit registered for the property rather than against how a resort or a brand is marketed, because the two do not always match. Several well-known all-inclusive names operate on this coast; what matters for your booking is whether the specific rate carries it, and only this one does.
What every one of the nine does include through suitespot is breakfast for two, a room upgrade subject to availability, early check-in and late check-out subject to availability and up to 100 USD hotel credit per stay. On this coast, where the resorts are spread along the corridor and eating out means a drive, the credit and the breakfast are worth counting properly against a full-board rate before you decide.
If an all-inclusive stay is the point of the trip, say so before booking – our Mexican selection includes more of them elsewhere.
Entry rates in our selection run from 130 € at the Drift San José del Cabo in town to about 859 € at the One&Only Palmilla on the corridor, with a median of roughly 520 €. Above that field sits the Residences at Solaz Los Cabos at around 2,810 € – a whole-residence rate, not a room rate, which is why we keep it out of the range.
The structure worth noticing is the gap in the middle. Seven of the nine start at 350 € or more, and five of those at 630 € or more; then there are two at 265 € and 130 €. The gap sits between the Casa Maat at 630 € and the Marquis Los Cabos at 414 € – 216 € with nothing in between. In other words, this is a high-rate coast with two clear exceptions rather than a gradual scale.
The clearest illustration is the JW Marriott pair at La Playa: Casa Maat at 630 € and the JW Marriott Los Cabos Beach at 265 € – the same brand, the same stretch of beach, overlapping suite names and less than half the rate. And the Drift in the Gallery District at 130 € is not a lesser version of the corridor resorts; it is a different kind of stay altogether, in the town rather than on the coastal road.
What our travel advisors arrange most often in San José del Cabo follows from the geography: transfers, because the corridor is long and the airport sits north of the town; boat and fishing days out of Puerto Los Cabos; golf, which is the corridor's other reason for existing; and tables in the Gallery District, the old town centre, which is where most stays here find their best evening.Personal luxury travel adviceOur travel advisors personally accompany your booking – 365 days a year, from the first offer to late check-out. Reach the suitespot VIP service via email or WhatsApp.Phone: +49 30 81452346 · hotel@suitespot.comOne planning note worth raising early: whether the beach in front of your resort is swimmable varies along this coast, and it varies by property rather than by price. Ask us for your specific dates and property before you book.
As a suitespot guest you travel with VIP status at all nine: we pass your preferences to the hotel before you arrive – here almost always an ocean-facing category, which at most of these properties is a category rather than an upgrade. On top of that come breakfast for two, a room upgrade subject to availability, early check-in and late check-out subject to availability and up to 100 USD hotel credit per stay. Points come with Marriott Bonvoy at four of the nine and the Leaders Club at two; three take part in no programme.
suitespot rates are genuine direct rates: you keep earning regular points and elite nights in the hotel's loyalty program and retain your status benefits – on top of your suitespot benefits. These programs are represented in San José del Cabo:
| Program | Hotels | Examples in San José del Cabo |
|---|---|---|
| Marriott Bonvoy | 4 hotels | Ritz-Carlton Reserve Zadún San José del Cabo, JW Marriott Casa Maat Los Cabos, JW Marriott Los Cabos Beach … |
| Leaders Club | 2 hotels | Paradisus Los Cabos, Marquis Los Cabos Resort |
Entry rates in our selection run from around 130 € per night at the Drift San José del Cabo in the town to about 859 € at the One&Only Palmilla on the corridor. The median is roughly 520 €.
Seven of the nine start at 350 € or above, so this is a high-rate coast with two clear exceptions rather than a gradual scale – the JW Marriott Los Cabos Beach at 265 € and the Drift at 130 €.
One figure sits outside the range: the Residences at Solaz Los Cabos are listed at around 2,810 €, which is a whole-residence rate rather than a room rate. With suitespot you always book at direct rates, and the benefits worth more than 500 € come on top.
Most of the nine list ocean-facing categories, but the names differ and they are not interchangeable.
The Ritz-Carlton Reserve Zadún lists Zadún, Cortés, Grand, Family and Family Cortés suites (from 740 €). The One&Only Palmilla lists Grand, Junior, Casita, Premier, Premier Family and Family (859 €) – the Casita being a separate unit rather than a floor in a block.
The JW Marriott Casa Maat uses local names – JW Umey, Tesi Governor, Taypa, Kuttay Presidential (630 €) – several of which reappear at the JW Marriott Los Cabos Beach at 265 €. The Paradisus Los Cabos has The Reserve and The Reserve Swim Up.
Tell your travel advisor which of these you mean and we will place you in the right one.
Drift San José del Cabo, and it is the only one. It stands on Miguel Hidalgo in the Gallery District in the town centre, at an entry rate of around 130 € – also the lowest of our nine by a wide margin.
All eight other properties are on the Corredor Turístico, the coastal road running towards Cabo San Lucas, or at Puerto Los Cabos and La Playa east of the town. From those, the galleries and restaurants of the old centre are a drive, not a walk.
So the honest answer is that in San José del Cabo you are choosing between a resort on the coast and a town address – and only one of the nine gives you the second.
One of the nine: the Marquis Los Cabos Resort at Cabo Real, from around 414 €, is the only property here whose rate is recorded as all-inclusive with us.
We check that against the benefit registered for the property rather than against the way a brand is marketed, because those are not always the same thing – several names associated with all-inclusive operate on this coast without the rate carrying it.
All nine include the suitespot package: breakfast for two, upgrade subject to availability and up to 100 USD hotel credit per stay. On a coast where eating out means a drive, that is worth counting properly against a full-board rate before you decide.
Yes, wherever a programme exists. suitespot rates are full direct rates: you earn the usual points and status nights.
In San José del Cabo, Marriott Bonvoy covers four of the nine – the Ritz-Carlton Reserve Zadún, both JW Marriott properties and the Drift San José del Cabo – and the Leaders Club covers two, the Marquis Los Cabos Resort and the Paradisus Los Cabos.
Three take part in no loyalty programme: the One&Only Palmilla and both Residences properties. Their suitespot benefits are identical; only the points and status nights are missing.
Because they are two separate properties on the same stretch of beach at La Playa. The JW Marriott Casa Maat Los Cabos starts at around 630 € and the JW Marriott Los Cabos Beach at 265 € – less than half.
Both belong to Marriott Bonvoy and their suite categories overlap: JW Umey and the Taypa family appear at both. So comparing them by rate alone tells you very little about where you will be, since the location is effectively the same.
What differs is the property itself and the room stock. This is exactly the sort of question to put to a travel advisor before booking rather than to resolve from two listing pages.
Three of the nine list a family category on our records. The Ritz-Carlton Reserve Zadún has Family and Family Cortés suites, the One&Only Palmilla has Family and Premier Family categories, and the Residences at Zadún list family connecting rooms and a Family Cortés 2-Bedroom layout.
The Residences are worth a closer look for a longer stay with children, since they are priced and laid out as whole units rather than as rooms.
Tell your travel advisor how many of you there are and how old the children are, and you will get the specific category rather than a general recommendation.
The most reliable months are November to April: dry, warm and the peak of the season, which is also when rates are highest and our nine properties are tightest.
May and early June and late October into November are the value windows – warm water, fewer people and rates below the winter peak.
Late summer and early autumn are hot and humid and fall within the Pacific hurricane season, which is why rates are lowest then. Ask your travel advisor what the cancellation terms look like for those dates, and also which properties have swimmable water in front of them – on this coast that varies by property rather than by season.
