The Vila Vita Parc lies in Alporchinhos above the beach – two kilometres from Armação de Pêra, three from the Praia da Marinha, eight from Carvoeiro, twelve from Albufeira and 38 from Faro airport.
Our recommendation is therefore for anyone who comes to the Algarve for the coves – and for those who would rather not drive in the evening, because twelve restaurants stand in the resort.
What lies within reach: the Praia da Marinha, three kilometres, with the rock arches that appear on every Algarve postcard; the Percurso dos Sete Vales Suspensos, a six-kilometre coastal path that starts there; and Carvoeiro, eight kilometres, a former fishing village in a cove.
On arrival: Faro airport lies 38 kilometres east, about forty minutes on the A22. Lisbon is 250 kilometres away.
