The Hotel Adula stands at Via Sorts Sut 3 in Flims Waldhaus – nine hundred metres from Lake Cauma, a kilometre and a half from the valley station in Flims Dorf, just under two from the Rhine Gorge at Conn, two from Lake Cresta, three and a half from the cable car in Laax, 19 from Chur and 90 from Zurich airport.
Our recommendation is therefore for anyone wanting Flims as a summer place, with lake and gorge – and for those who take the ski bus to the lift in winter and lie in the warm outdoor pool in the evening.
What lies within reach: Lake Cauma, reached by lift in summer, nine hundred metres; the Conn viewpoint above the Rhine Gorge, the Grand Canyon of Switzerland, two kilometres on foot through the forest; the Flims Laax Falera ski arena with 224 kilometres of pistes, from Flims Dorf or Laax.
For orientation: Zurich airport is an hour and a half away, Chur with the Rhaetian Railway station half an hour. The Glacier Express stops in Chur, the Rhine Gorge is travelled by train from Reichenau to Ilanz or on the water. In Waldhaus one walks; to the lift the bus drives.
