From legendary grand hotels to intimate design addresses: these properties lead our ranking for Hurghada. | Hotel | Location | Hotel program | suitespot score | Price from |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| The Chedi El Gouna | Regierungsbezirk Rotes Meer | Leaders Club | – | 260 € |
| Serry Beach Resort Hurghada | Touristic Villages | I Prefer | – | 250 € |
| Rixos Premium Magawish Hurghada | Intercontinental District | ALL (Accor) | – | 260 € |
The Chedi El Gouna · Regierungsbezirk Rotes MeerAnyone searching for “Hurghada” and booking the Chedi wakes up somewhere else. That is no drawback, but it should be a decision rather than an accident. The second peculiarity is the price distribution, and it is unusual enough to say out loud: ten euros separate the cheapest property from the dearest. Entry rates run from 259 € to 269 € per night, with a median of 260 €.
So the choice here is not made on price. It is made on location, on layout, and on whether you want meals included.
From north to south: The Chedi El Gouna stands in El Gouna, the settlement built around lagoons and canals north of the town – a place in its own right with its own marina, not a district of Hurghada. Some twenty kilometres further south comes the Serry Beach Resort in the Touristic Villages, Hurghada's own hotel strip; it is the only one of the three with an address in the town.
Serry Beach Resort Hurghada · Touristic VillagesAnother thirteen kilometres south lies the Rixos Premium Magawish at kilometre 12 of the Safaga Road, in the Magawish stretch. Between the northernmost and the southernmost property lie roughly 31 kilometres as the crow flies.
The three are not alternatives in one town; they are three different stays. If you want Hurghada itself – the old quarter, the Marina Boulevard, the evenings – the Serry Beach Resort is the one. If you want El Gouna's canals and its dining, take the Chedi and allow a good half hour for every trip into Hurghada.Personal luxury travel adviceOur travel advisors personally accompany your booking – 365 days a year, from the first offer to late check-out. Reach the suitespot VIP service via email or WhatsApp.Phone: +49 30 81452346 · hotel@suitespot.comAnd if you have no intention of leaving the grounds, the distance is irrelevant – what counts then is that the Rixos is the only one of the three with all-inclusive.
Three properties, three different hotel programmes – there is no overlap at all. That is rare, and it matters to you because your status will apply at one of the three at most.
Rixos Premium Magawish Hurghada · Intercontinental DistrictSorted by entry rate, from the bottom up.
The GHM property in El Gouna, some twenty kilometres north of Hurghada. It is the only one of the three in the Leaders Club. The entry category we list is the Superior Sea View Room.
One point that can save or cost you money: the Chedi is the only one of the three without the hotel credit of up to 100 USD. Breakfast for two and the room upgrade subject to availability apply here as they do at the other two.
The only property with an address in Hurghada itself, in the Touristic Villages. It belongs to iPrefer, the Preferred Hotels programme. The entry category is the King Garden View Deluxe Room with Balcony. At 259 € it is the lowest entry rate in our selection – by all of ten euros, which is unlikely to carry the decision. Breakfast, upgrade and the hotel credit of up to 100 USD are all included here.
The southernmost of the three, at kilometre 12 of the Safaga Road in the Magawish stretch. It belongs to ALL – Accor Live Limitless and is the only all-inclusive property of the three. If meals are to be included, the arithmetic is quick – ten euros over the cheapest property is nothing against two meals a day. The entry category we list is the Lagoon Swim-up Suite. Breakfast, upgrade and hotel credit are included as well.
Entry rates across our three properties run from around 259 € per night (Serry Beach Resort) to 269 € per night (Rixos Premium Magawish). The median entry rate is 260 €.
Against the rest of Egypt this is our dearest address: in Giza the median sits at 177 € across eight properties, in Cairo at 189 € across thirteen. On the Red Sea you therefore pay roughly half again as much as on the Nile – Aswan is higher at 440 €, but that is a single property, and a median over one property is not a median, so it does not serve as a comparison here.
Breakfast for two and the room upgrade subject to availability apply at all three. On the hotel credit of up to 100 USD it is two of three – the Chedi does not carry it. With three properties in three different programmes (Leaders Club at the Chedi, iPrefer at the Serry Beach Resort, ALL at the Rixos) you also collect into a different account at each one; if you hold status in one of the three, that is worth choosing on, because it does not transfer here.
With every booking through suitespot you receive a comprehensive package of suitespot benefits:
Since the price will not decide for you, location will. The Serry Beach Resort for anyone who wants Hurghada itself – town, marina, short distances. The Chedi for El Gouna, its canals and a quieter, more composed setting; the trade is the half hour into Hurghada and going without the hotel credit. The Rixos Premium Magawish if all-inclusive tips the balance, or if you plan to stay on the grounds anyway.
What we do not feature belongs here too: we hold no properties in Sharm El Sheikh, Marsa Alam or Luxor. If your trip starts on the Red Sea and continues on the Nile, our travel advisors combine one of these three with our addresses in Cairo and Giza – that is the stretch we cover.
suitespot rates are genuine direct rates: you keep earning regular points and elite nights in the hotel's loyalty program and retain your status benefits – on top of your suitespot benefits. These programs are represented in Hurghada:
| Program | Hotels | Examples in Hurghada |
|---|---|---|
| ALL (Accor) | 1 hotel | Rixos Premium Magawish Hurghada |
| I Prefer | 1 hotel | Serry Beach Resort Hurghada |
| Leaders Club | 1 hotel | The Chedi El Gouna |
Entry rates across our three properties run between around 259 € per night (Serry Beach Resort) and 269 € per night (Rixos Premium Magawish). The median is 260 €.
What stands out is not the level but the narrowness: ten euros separate the cheapest from the dearest. So price will barely decide anything here – location will.
No, and that is the most important information on this page. Only the Serry Beach Resort has an address in Hurghada itself, in the Touristic Villages. The Chedi stands in El Gouna, some twenty kilometres north – a place in its own right. The Rixos Premium Magawish lies about thirteen kilometres south of the Serry at kilometre 12 of the Safaga Road.
Between the northernmost and the southernmost property lie roughly 31 kilometres.
Exactly one: the Rixos Premium Magawish Hurghada (from around 269 €). It is also the dearest of the three – by ten euros over the cheapest. If meals are to be included, that sum is quickly made back.
The Chedi and the Serry Beach Resort do not offer all-inclusive.
Almost. Breakfast for two and the room upgrade subject to availability apply at all three.
On the hotel credit of up to 100 USD it is two of three: the Chedi El Gouna is the only one that does not carry it. If that item matters to you, it is an argument for the Serry Beach Resort or the Rixos.
Yes – but each of the three belongs to a different programme, with no overlap at all: Leaders Club at the Chedi El Gouna, iPrefer at the Serry Beach Resort and ALL – Accor Live Limitless at the Rixos Premium Magawish.
You book through suitespot at direct rates, so you earn as you would on a direct booking and your status benefits apply – in whichever programme that property belongs to. If you hold status in one of the three, choose on that.
At the Chedi El Gouna the Superior Sea View Room, at the Serry Beach Resort the King Garden View Deluxe Room with Balcony, and at the Rixos Premium Magawish the Lagoon Swim-up Suite.
The Rixos is therefore the only one of the three whose entry category is already a suite with direct pool access.
No. On the Red Sea we feature only these three properties around Hurghada and El Gouna.
Elsewhere in Egypt we hold our addresses in Cairo (thirteen properties, median 189 €) and Giza (eight, 177 €), plus one property each in Aswan and Al-Qarna. A combination of Red Sea and Nile is put together by our travel advisors as a single booking.
That depends on what you want from the place. El Gouna is a planned settlement around lagoons and canals, with its own marina and a quieter, more uniform character than Hurghada. Hurghada is the grown town, with an old quarter, the Marina Boulevard and considerably more going on.
In practice: from the Chedi into Hurghada, reckon on a good half hour. If you want both, the Serry Beach Resort in the middle is the better base.
