The Regent Bali Canggu stands on Jalan Pantai Batu Bolong in Canggu, in the district of North Kuta – five hundred metres from Batu Bolong beach, seven hundred from Echo Beach, six kilometres from Tanah Lot and from Seminyak, eleven from Denpasar airport and 22 from Ubud.
Our recommendation is therefore for anyone wanting Bali by the sea but not in Nusa Dua – and for those who prefer Canggu with its cafés and surf schools to a resort behind walls.
What lies within reach: Batu Bolong beach with the surfers and the temple on the shore, five hundred metres; Tanah Lot, the sea temple on the rock, at sunset, six kilometres; Seminyak with the shops and beach clubs, six kilometres.
For orientation: Denpasar airport is three quarters of an hour away – the roads, not the kilometres, make the time –, Ubud with the rice terraces a good hour. Echo Beach with the fish grills is reached on foot along the sand. In Canggu one rides a scooter; on the beach one walks.
