Jumeirah Bali sits on the cliffs of Pecatu with its own beach access, 12 minutes from Balangan Beach and 20 minutes from Uluwatu Temple. The Renaissance Bali Uluwatu Resort stands on a hill with views across nature to the sea; it has no beach of its own, but a shuttle runs to the Roosterfish Beach Club.

The longest history on the bay belongs to the InterContinental Bali Resort: it opened in 1993 as one of the first luxury resorts on Jimbaran Bay, and its KO is one of the island’s first Japanese restaurants.
Belmond Jimbaran Puri Bali · DjimbaranIn 1996 came the resort now called the Belmond Jimbaran Puri Bali: the Pansea Group opened it as Pansea Jimbaran, Orient-Express took over in 2006, 22 thatched villas were added in 2009, and since 2014 it has been part of the Belmond brand. Four open-air temples of its own stand in the grounds.
The other three hotels are young. In June 2018 the Renaissance Bali Uluwatu Resort opened as the first Renaissance hotel in Indonesia, with rooms inspired by Balinese double ikat textiles. Raffles Bali followed in 2021, laid out like a Balinese village on the hillside, with 80 per cent of the original trees preserved. In April 2022 came Jumeirah Bali, whose Tilasan wedding venue is modelled on the ruins of Trowulan.
Awards: Raffles Bali holds two Michelin Keys and Jumeirah Bali one Michelin Key; Michelin Keys recognise hotels, not restaurants.
