The Park Hotel Vitznau closed for four years from 2009 and was completely rebuilt inside, down to fire and earthquake safety. Since March 2013 it has welcomed guests year-round as an all-suite hotel, with new restaurants, wine cellars, a medical center and a spa. It sees itself as a private guest house: restaurants, bar and spa open by reservation only, and the spa is for hotel guests alone.
