Heated or not?
Not every private pool is heated. At Katikies Mykonos above Agios Ioannis bay, the Superior, Honeymoon, Katikies, Master and Delos Suites have their own pool, but it is not heated. If you travel in May or October, ask for a heated pool; our travel advisors will check this before you book.
Plunge pool, suite or villa: which categories have a private pool
In Greece, a private pool usually comes with specific categories, not with the whole house. A plunge pool is a small pool for cooling off, not for swimming laps, and many houses mention hot tubs and outdoor jacuzzis in the same breath as pools. So when you book, check the exact name of the category.
Sandblu Santorini · KamariTwo recent openings show how large the share can be. At Sandblu Santorini, at the foot of Ancient Thira, 29 of the 66 units have their own pool, and guests also have a reserved area on the black-sand beach of Kamari. At Parian Chronicle Hotel Paros, opened in July 2026 in the village of Kampos, it is 39 of 50 rooms, while the others have an outdoor jacuzzi; the house welcomes guests aged 13 and over.
Villas offer plenty of space. For families, we recommend Domes of Elounda Crete, facing the Venetian fortress of Spinalonga: its suites, residences and villas have a pool or jacuzzi, the residence and villa pools are heated in spring and autumn, and there is an eco kids' club. For food lovers, we recommend Katikies Garden Santorini in a former Catholic monastery in Fira: in the courtyard, Ettore Botrini cooks a modern take on Santorini's produce at Selene, the Selene Wine Caves lie below, and many suites have a pool or outdoor jetted tub.
