From the address to the loyalty program to the entry rate: the table sums up what sets the properties in Bengaluru apart. Prices are entry rates and may include promotions. At the top of our recommendation: the Conrad Bengaluru.
| Hotel | Location | suitespot score | Price from |

| Gokulam Grand Hotel And Spa Bengaluru | BEL Circle | ★ 4.0/5 | 70 € |
| Shangri-La Bengaluru | Vasanth Nagar | ★ 3.7/5 | 156 € |
Conrad Bengaluru · SomeshwarpuraWe list 6 hotels here with a median of 188 € a night – above Mumbai (182 €) and New Delhi (171 €), below Goa (213 €).The selection sorts itself less by district than by compass direction.
The Ritz-Carlton Bangalore · Shanthala NagarIn the centre stand three hotels: the Conrad Bengaluru on Kensington Road with categories facing Ulsoor Lake, the Ritz-Carlton Bangalore on Residency Road with categories facing the city and the Shangri-La Bengaluru on Palace Road in Vasanth Nagar. Our recommendation: the Conrad.
East of them, on Old Airport Road in Kodihalli, sits the Leela Palace Bengaluru in its garden. Our recommendation for that side of the city.
To the north, towards the airport, comes the Gokulam Grand Hotel and Spa at BEL Circle – the most affordable address in our selection.
And far out in Devanahalli, on a golf course along the road to the Nandi Hills, the JW Marriott Prestige Golfshire with categories facing the garden and the golf course.
In this city you choose the hotel by the direction of travel, not by the district.
The airport lies about 40 kilometres north of the centre, in Devanahalli. On the map that looks like just under an hour; in rush hour it regularly becomes considerably more. Which is exactly why our selection includes a hotel right out there: the JW Marriott Prestige Golfshire, on a golf course along the road to the Nandi Hills.
The Gokulam Grand at BEL Circle also lies north – on the airport side. The Conrad, the Ritz-Carlton and the Shangri-La are in the centre, the Leela Palace in the east.
Which gives you a rule that saves more time here than any other: put the arrival and departure nights in the north, and the days in between in the centre. Fly early and you sleep in Devanahalli and reach the terminal in twenty minutes. Come for the city and you stay by Ulsoor Lake and walk in the evening.
The selection starts at 70 € at the Gokulam Grand and 151 € at the Conrad.
And in all six hotels the suitespot benefits apply from the first night – without exception.
From Kempegowda airport it is one to two hours into the centre depending on traffic; the expressway north is the most reliable link.
JW Marriott Bengaluru Prestige GolfshireStay in the centre if the city should happen on foot and in short drives: Cubbon Park, the Lalbagh botanical garden with its glasshouse, the Bangalore Palace and the shops on Brigade Road. Our recommendation: the Conrad Bengaluru by Ulsoor Lake, for us the first address in the city.
Stay in the east on Old Airport Road for more garden and more quiet (recommendation: the Leela Palace), and in the north for proximity to the arterial road (recommendation: the Gokulam Grand).
For orientation: the Nandi Hills, with their sunrise above the mist, are a good hour north; Mysuru with its palace about three hours southwest.
Bengaluru eats South Indian and late: dosa and idli in the morning, filter coffee in the afternoon, and in the evening a restaurant scene among the liveliest in the country.
The Leela Palace Bengaluru · KodihalliIn the hotels breakfast for two is included without exception – in all six, as a fixed benefit on every rate.
For dinner the hotel credit helps: in three of the six hotels it is 100 US dollars – at the Conrad, the Ritz-Carlton and the Leela Palace. At the Shangri-La it is 50, at the Gokulam Grand 25.
Do try the masala dosa in one of the city's old breakfast rooms, and the filter coffee, poured here between two beakers from a height of two metres.
The median is 188 € a night. The selection starts at 70 € at the Gokulam Grand and runs to 270 € at the JW Marriott Prestige Golfshire.
In between sit the Conrad from 151 €, the Shangri-La from 156 €, the Ritz-Carlton from 220 € and the Leela Palace from 233 €.
Against the other Indian cities: Goa sits at 213 €, Mumbai at 182 € and New Delhi at 171 €.
It costs least between June and September, when the monsoon turns the city green, the gardens are at their best and the evenings are cool. Book early for Diwali in autumn, the weeks around New Year and the big trade-fair weeks – those are the most sought-after nights of the year.
And whatever the date: you get the suitespot benefits in the quietest week of the year just as you do in the busiest.
Bengaluru is the greenest of the large Indian cities, and that is no accident: the parks date from the time when the summer residences stood here.

For a day trip: the Nandi Hills at sunrise, the temple city of Mysuru with its illuminated palace, or the ruins of Hampi – though for those you should plan a night.
Alongside breakfast for two, an upgrade where available and late check-out, three of the 6 hotels add a credit of 100 US dollars – the Conrad, the Ritz-Carlton Bangalore and the Leela Palace. At the Shangri-La it is 50 US dollars, at the Gokulam Grand 25.
One more thing here is worth noting: in all six hotels you earn points and status – across four programmes, most often Marriott Bonvoy and iPrefer with two hotels each. We register your VIP status before you arrive.
The focus of this selection is Marriott Bonvoy. Booking through suitespot costs you neither points nor an elite night: the rate settles as a direct rate and your status is still recognised. Here is what is available in Bengaluru:
At no extra cost: you pay the same rate as booking direct with the hotel – the suitespot benefits come on top, free of charge.

In the centre if the city should happen on foot and in short drives – our recommendation is the Conrad Bengaluru by Ulsoor Lake, for us the first address in the city. In the east on Old Airport Road for more garden and quiet (recommendation: The Leela Palace). In the north for proximity to the arterial road (recommendation: Gokulam Grand). And in Devanahalli for an early flight (recommendation: JW Marriott Prestige Golfshire).
Both name the same city: Bengaluru has been the official name since 2014, Bangalore the older form still widely used internationally. Not all hotel names followed the change either – The Ritz-Carlton Bangalore still carries the older spelling.
Kempegowda airport lies about 40 kilometres north of the centre, in Devanahalli; depending on traffic that is one to two hours. For an early flight a night in the north is worth it – the JW Marriott Prestige Golfshire stands right out there, and the Gokulam Grand at BEL Circle is on that side too.
Of 88 categories, 35 are suites. For the largest, our data lists 192 square metres at the Conrad Bengaluru (a Presidential Suite facing the lake), 130 at The Leela Palace for a Tower Suite – and another 111 at the Conrad.
In all six hotels you earn points and status, across 4 programmes; the most common are Marriott Bonvoy and iPrefer with two hotels each.
