One 5-star hotel in Hyderabad, chosen by our travel experts: Park Hyatt. Through suitespot you also get breakfast for two, a room upgrade subject to availability, hotel credit and VIP service – services worth more than €500.
Park Hyatt Hyderabad · Ward 95 Jubilee HillsFor this guide we reviewed the best hotels in Hyderabad and chose one: a luxury hotel in Banjara Hills – with an upgrade rule that already applies at booking. What that means for booking is below. Our choice for Hyderabad is the Park Hyatt Hyderabad on Road No. 2 in Banjara Hills, the district of villas and consulates. In our ranking it stands at 4.1 out of 5, and a night starts at 130 euros. The hotel takes part in the World of Hyatt loyalty programme.
Why we recommend it: Because it is the hotel in which Hyderabad brings its two halves together: 185 rooms, 24 suites and 41 serviced apartments, a rooftop pool looking over the city, a spa that quotes the bathing culture of the Nizams, and three restaurants – The Dining Room for Hyderabadi biryani, Rika for Asian cooking and Tre Forni for Italian home cooking. And all of it at a remarkably moderate price. Our recommended category is called City View.
In this hotel the upgrade applies at booking, not on arrival – and it takes you one step up, not into a suite.
First the rule, because it is rare: at Hyatt the upgrade is confirmed at booking, not at the desk – one step up, expressly not from room to suite. That makes it reliable: you know before departure what you are getting.
Then the choice: six categories, rooms and apartments. Among them are two apartments at 90 square metres and three room categories at 110 square metres. The hotel itself has 24 suites; our travel advisors will advise you on them on request. Firmly on offer are the serviced apartments – a rare room type – and rooms which at 110 square metres are as large as suites elsewhere.
Our recommended category is called City View. Best to name the view you want when you enquire.
And the price: 130 euros.
Our advice: Use the rule and book one step below what you want. Anyone wanting 110 square metres books the entry category and has the upgrade confirmed at booking; anyone wanting the kitchen books the apartment at 90. And tell our travel advisors about the lake view right when you enquire – the recommendation is called City View.
The Park Hyatt Hyderabad lies on Road No. 2 in Banjara Hills, the villa district on the hills west of the centre – five kilometres from Hussain Sagar lake, six from HITEC City, nine from the Charminar and twenty from the airport.
Our recommendation is therefore for anyone commuting between Hyderabad’s two worlds: meetings in HITEC City in the morning, the old city in the evening – and for anyone taking Banjara Hills for what it is: the district where the city goes out.
What lies within reach: the Charminar, the landmark of 1591 with the Laad Bazaar of bangles, half an hour; Golconda Fort, the fortress of the diamonds, whose acoustics one tests with a clap at the gate, forty minutes; and the Salar Jung Museum, the largest private collection in India, twenty minutes.
For orientation: Rajiv Gandhi International airport is three quarters of an hour south via the expressway. Hussain Sagar with the Necklace Road is ten minutes away. In Hyderabad one travels with a driver or an app; the distances are short, the times are not.
The Park Hyatt Hyderabad offers six categories: rooms and apartments.
The rooms: the entry category and three categories at 110 square metres.
The apartments: 90 square metres in the apartment and 90 in the Deluxe apartment – with kitchen, for stays longer than a meeting.
On the view: this hotel’s motif is the skyline above Hussain Sagar, from the rooftop pool.
What applies equally to every category: breakfast for two, the 75 US dollar hotel credit, the upgrade at booking by one step, World of Hyatt points and status and a welcome gift.
A night at the luxury hotel in Hyderabad starts at 130 euros.
The suitespot benefits apply here from the first night. Included are: breakfast for two, a 75 US dollar hotel credit, an upgrade at booking by one step subject to availability, regular World of Hyatt points and status benefits, early check-in and late check-out subject to availability and a welcome gift.
When it is loveliest: from October to February. Hyderabad then has 25 to 30 degrees by day, clear evenings and the rooftop pool as a reason to come back earlier.
What belongs to the Deccan: the heat in April and May with days above 40 degrees and the monsoon from June to September with afternoon rain. That is not a warning but the calendar: anyone coming in summer comes for the meetings.
When to ask early: at Diwali and in the wedding season from November to February, when the city’s hotels belong to the families.
How long to stay: two nights for Charminar, Golconda and a biryani – three if Ramoji Film City is added.
And whatever the date: you get the suitespot benefits in the quietest week of the year just as you do in the busiest.
Telangana is India’s youngest state, since 2014, and Hyderabad its capital – a city ruled for four hundred years by sultans and Nizams, whose cooking, language and courtesy remain Persian-tinged to this day. Anyone coming from Bangalore notices it in the pace; anyone coming from Delhi, in the tone.

Reach the suitespot VIP service via email or WhatsApp.Phone: +49 30 81452346 · hotel@suitespot.comThree things belong to it. First the biryani: rice and lamb in a sealed pot, the dum method, at Paradise or Bawarchi – or in the hotel’s Dining Room. Second Golconda: the fortress where the Koh-i-Noor was traded, with the sound and light show in the evening. Third the Chowmahalla Palace: the residence of the Nizams with its chandeliers and its collection of vintage cars, where one understands what wealth meant in Hyderabad.
The package at this hotel is breakfast, credit, upgrade, points and gift.
What our travel advisors arrange most often: the upgrade at booking, because it is most reliable here, the driver for Golconda and Charminar, because in Hyderabad one travels with a driver, and the lake view, which they secure right at the enquiry.
And for World of Hyatt members: our benefits sit alongside those of the programme, they do not replace them. Give your membership number when booking and points and status come on top.
