Le Sirenuse · SalernoAt Le Sirenuse, you sleep in the former summer home of the Sersale family, Neapolitan nobility: the Villa Giulietta. In 1951, siblings Anna, Aldo, Paolo and Franco Sersale opened it as a hotel, and in 1953 John Steinbeck was among the first guests. The family still runs it, and two of the founders are part of everyday life: you start the evening at Franco’s Bar, and oysters and grilled fish are served at Aldo’s on the terrace above the sea. An art collection runs through the whole house.
