The history of the Parkhotel Mondschein Bolzano goes back to 1320, the year the oldest part of the building dates from. Under names such as “Manschein”, “Munschein”, “Mondschein” and “Luna”, it has been a tavern, an inn, a manor and a hotel for aristocrats, artists and travellers. Today it shows an ivy-covered Art Nouveau facade, and its 76 rooms and suites, including 16 suites, have stucco ceilings.
Vigilius Mountain Resort Lana · LanaThe Castel Hoertenberg Bolzano is a Renaissance manor with four towers. In 1471, Leonhard Hiertmair extended the farmstead into a manor; in 1682, the castle passed to the Barons Giovanelli, and in 1808/09 it served as Andreas Hofer’s headquarters. After the Barons von Fuchs, the Podini family from Bolzano bought the estate and opened it as a 5-star hotel in 2019.

Founder Ulrich Ladurner had the Vigilius Mountain Resort Lana built by Matteo Thun on the principle of “Eco, not ego”, on the site of an old mountain inn: larch wood, clay and glass, heated with wood chips from Monte San Vigilio and certified EarthCheck Gold.
