Among the freshly renovated luxury hotels in Santa Eulària des Riu is the Hotel Riomar Ibiza. After a complete renovation it returned in summer 2021 as part of Marriott’s Tribute Portfolio, with minimalist contemporary rooms, the Ocean Brasserie & Bar, a new pool deck and Tribe, a hidden tropical garden. There, musicians play live acoustic sets at the Sunset Sessions in summer.
W Ibiza · Can NadalThe W Ibiza has only stood on the promenade since 2019, as the brand’s 13th W Escape, with 154 rooms including 38 suites. Music is part of the day here: in the W Lounge, built like an iridescent amphitheatre, it plays from morning on, partly live.
Since May 2025 the W Ibiza has had its own spot on the sand, the Yellow Fish Beach Club: sunbeds, a cabana bar and a shaded terrace, plus fish and seafood from the grill. Next door on the promenade, STEPS serves Daniele Seu’s pizza daily from 11am to midnight; 50 Top Pizza ranks his flagship in Rome among the best pizzerias in the world.

The history of the luxury hotels in Santa Eulària des Riu begins in 1968 with the Hotel Riomar Ibiza. Built right on the beach, it was there before most of the buildings that shape the town today. The eye-catcher in the lounge is a six-metre hand-painted tile mural, and through its “1 Euro to the bill” scheme the hotel supports the IbizaPreservation initiative.
The Aguas de Ibiza Grand Luxe Hotel was built by the Torres family between 2006 and 2009 on the promenade, to designs by Juan de los Ríos, Triade Studio and Félix Prado. It opened in 2009 as an eco-luxury spa hotel, with photovoltaics and water- and energy-saving technology, and on the fourth floor Cloud Nine is a hotel within the hotel.
