Two things stand out at this hotel, and they pull in opposite directions.

The Phulay Bay Krabi lies on the coast of Nong Thale – ten kilometres from Ao Nang, thirteen from Railay Beach, eighteen from Krabi town, twenty from the Tiger Cave temple and 27 from Krabi airport.
Our recommendation is therefore for anyone who wants the Andaman Sea without staying in the bustle of Ao Nang – and for those who want the limestone cliffs from their own terrace.
What lies within reach: Ao Nang, ten kilometres, the starting point for the boats; Railay, thirteen kilometres, a peninsula reachable only from the water and among the best-known climbing destinations in Asia; and the Tiger Cave temple, twenty kilometres, with 1,237 steps to the summit.
On arrival: Krabi airport is 27 kilometres away – and the pick-up from there is part of the package.
