In practice: if you collect Bonvoy, the United States offers by far the widest choice. Collect another programme and you will still find something in every larger city – just not everywhere.
The upgrade is worth a careful look: 107 properties record it already at the time of booking rather than on arrival; they are the properties with a Hyatt connection.
